THE JUSTICE SNOWFLAKE

Not long after Broken Justice published, and while I was in the midst of writing the rest of what began as a simple 3-story arc, from time to time, I would get the most amazingly supportive and enthusiastic messages from readers. As a storyteller, there is nothing better.

Justice, it seems, is a tale that readers don’t want to end. One thing led to another and on the strength of your embrace of these characters, Family Justice was born.

As the story went deeper into the lives of the original Justice Brothers and explored aspects of their backstories, new characters also appeared.

I heard your calls for more! More details! More storylines! More sexy times! More laughs!

Exploring common themes such as honor, redemption, decency, friendship, duty, loyalty, integrity, love, commitment, and FAMILY–these are the things that fuel the Justice story. Along the way it got easier and easier to imagine a dusty dirt and gravel road lined with the red soil of the Sonoran desert that came to a split ~ one way leading to the Villa de Valleja-Marquez and the other to the Justice compound. These things became real for readers. So in many ways, #FamilyJustice is real.

A few months ago, I heard from a reader who reached out to ask a question and also to let me know how deeply touched she’d been by the Justice stories. She asked if there was a logo for Justice because she wanted to have it tattooed.

I remember being staggered by her words. Touched that she found such hope and truth in my stories.

She couldn’t have known at the time, but I was already in the process of creating a logo. The designer of all the Justice covers must be used to my crazy requests by now because she never flinched when presented with a crude drawing on a scrap of paper. The logo design she made is exactly what I drew.

Woven through all the Justice stories are the delicate threads of survival and perseverance…things which, for me, are depicted in the flames of the Phoenix.

I envisioned three flames—one for each of the original Justice Brothers. Cameron, Draegyn, and Alex knew what it was to be consumed by fire only to rise from the flames and go on.

So here, officially, is the formal debut of the Justice logo. Eagle-eyed readers will recognize it as the chapter header in Unchained. The symbol appeared without fanfare along with a Phoenix scene break graphic.

Justice is like a snowflake. Different for every reader.

I hope you see the power in the Justice logo and will think of the broken man who found his smile; the man who never thought he’d be fixed; and the Major who needed redemption.

P.S. I’ll soon be revealing the logo for the Justice Canine Program!

From a reader:

The JUSTICE BROTHERS series is one that I will continue to read throughout the years. I loved the characters and story line. The most important thing that stuck out to me was the relationships. The men are honorable, served our country, and are what all women want. LOL

The women stood out in the fact that they were not afraid to put the men in their places when they messed up. They demanded to be respected and treated right.

Moral of these books (for me at least), is to hold out for the right guy.

Don’t waste time on guys that do not have good intentions.

Life will give you all sorts of obstacles and surprises; the journey is better and richer when you have a good, honest partner by your side.

Some things really do start as a thought, quickly sketched onto a scrap of paper!

  1. I’m so glad that I found this fantastic author. I happened to stumble upon the Justice stories. It was best day ever. Only problem is that in the beginning I had the entire series to catch up with but now I’m waiting for the next book. I think I will start them over and when I finish hopefully the new book will be out. An unending story, I like that idea.

You sound like me I’ve ready them 3 or 4 times waiting on the next book❤️❤️

I love the new logo. But I also love anything to do with the Justice Family💜💙💞

The logo is perfect. Simple, clean, and meaningful. It won’t mean much to people on the outside, but to Family Justice, it is everything. A logo should not “scream” its message, but quietly reveal itself as you become part of the inner circle. Can’t wait for the canine logo and its symbolism!

Suzanne I love the Justice Logo. Many people I know seem to respond to the idea of the Phoenix as a symbol of rebirth after going through what ever trials or tribulations they have experienced in their own lives and it seems perfect to symbolize the Justice Brothers and Family. I hope that you continue finding additional characters and situations to grow the Justice Family as I can’t conceive of a time when I won’t be awaiting the next installment in their lives. When I receive each new book I am conflicted as to whether to read slower to savor it or rushing so I can find out what happened. Thanks for the enjoyment you give us with your writing.

I LOVE the logo! So symbolic and powerful. A flame for each brother. Flames to represent rising from the ashes. Flames of heat to represent their passions. Amazing! (Not to mention flames are hot just like the boys are!)

  6. Rachael

I love the logo. Three flames for the three brothers, and it does remind me of a phoenix rising.

  11. This logo represents to me the power of God. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God has taken 3 broken men and showed them they way even if it is not represented that way in your series. It gives us all faith that we still have a fighting chance in our lives. I cannot wait for the next book. Thank you

I absolutely love the new Justice Brothers logo. These 3 men couldn’t be, any better the symbols of the flames if you had to pick them. All 3 of them have rose from the ashes, not only from war, but personal issues to become the amazing men that they are today. The logo is absolutely amazing and I’m SO HAPPY that you came up with it Suzanne, and with the way that it turned out.

Love the Justice Family & Justice Brothers series. This logo deeply spoke to me in so many ways. I also have considered it at a tattoo. (I have none at the moment.)
I would like to encourage you to keep writing about the Justice Family. I want to hear more about Alex & Meghan’s pregnancy, what’s going on at Whiskey Pete’s, the relationship with Parker & Angie – doesn’t seem like getting married will be without more bumps, Drae & Tori – another pregnancy (baby Faith) & if they get their wild/sexual side back, Calder & Stephanie’s pregnancy & marriage, Finn & Remy’s tumultuous relationship, Brody & Heather’s relationship with Bella/pregnancy/Brody going on more dangerous missions, Cam & Lacey’s pregnancy (maybe twins), and last but not least….who is stirring things up with the Justice Family & trying to pulls the Brothers away from their women at the Villa. Please, please, please consider more stories with these characters! Great writing , much love.

Love this series!! The way the women and men just fit together is awesome!! Every woman hopes to find her soulmate (the one who will put up with anything she flings his way lol) and only some of us are lucky enough to find him. The strength of the Justice women is how every woman wants to feel and to you can visualize it when you are reading this series. Love the logo and please keep these books coming!!
